1. COACHELLA

Where am I off to? Indio, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
There are a few airports around like LAX, Palm Springs and Ontario Airport that you can fly into if you aren't already there. You can then grab your friends, car and festival outfits and enjoy a cruisy road trip through the desert all the way into Indio.
When is it? Two weeks over April! Tickets are usually on sale in June the previous year and you have to get in at lightning speed to get one and that's before you even find out who is on the line-up! Sounds like an unsure investment but we promise it's always totally worth it!
Crowd... Hipsters, celebrities trying to "blend in" and middle class music fans who spent their entire savings just to be there.
Headliners are along the lines of... Kanye, Florence & The Machine, ACDC, Drake, Beck, Cold War Kids, Bright Eyes & a resurrected Tupac.

2. FLOW

Where am I off to? Helsinki, FINLAND
Flow recommends keeping it green by riding your bike into the festival! Love it! However if you are coming in from international lands you can fly into Helsinki Airport and utilise the world-class public transportation to get yourself into the festival area - an area that once was an industrial block, now turned into an annual celebration of urban light installations, modern art and up and coming artists.
When is it? Around mid August so it's very much summer still with the midnight sun staying out to party!
Crowd... Hipsters like you've never seen before, artsy young professionals, environmentally conscious music lovers and organised festival goers who are looking for a more refined style of music festival with boutique eateries, creative art stalls and those who enjoy recycling exchanges to keep the earth green and score a few drink rewards with their cider can deposits.
Headliners are along the lines of... Major Lazer, Mos Def, Diplo, Metronomy, Alt-J, Todd Terje, Jose Gonzalez, Little Dragon and a tonne of Finnish side acts that are very into their urban sounds and jazzy tunes.
